Mark F. Dempsey

1957-2011

Mark F. Dempsey graduated from the Dalhousie School of Law and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society in 1982, and had practiced law in Nova Scotia for almost 30 years.  He practiced estate, contract, real property law and corporate and commercial law.   Mark was an avid runner having competed in many marathons and iron man competitions both in Nova Scotia and elsewhere.  Mark had a love of travel, having travelled to many countries and participating in both the local culture and marathons.  Mark will be best remembered for his infectious smile, great sense of humor and his love of life.

 

 

 

 

David M. Cooper

1957-2013

David M. Cooper graduated from the Dalhousie School of Law and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society in 1981, and had practiced law for over 30 years.  He practiced contract, real property law and corporate and commercial law.  He spent 6 years in Thailand before returning to Nova Scotia in June of 2012 to once again take up the practice of law in Nova Scotia.  David resided in West LaHave, Lunenburg County in the “old West LaHave School House”, which had been lovingly restored by him and his wife.  David was well known for his love of basketball, having played and coaching many young people in the sport.  David will be best remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor, his love of dogs and his overall zest for life.
