J. Philip Leefe, K.C.
Philip was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1995 and carries on a law practice with preferred areas of practice including real estate law, corporate/commercial law, and wills and estates. He obtained a King’s Counsel (KC) appointment in 2023.
Philip is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Canadian Bar Association and the Real Estate Lawyers of Nova Scotia Association. In the past, he has served as a member of the Lunenburg County Barristers’ Association and Family Court Liaison Committee. Philip currently sits on the Complaints Investigation Committee with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
Philip is a charter member and past President of the Rotary Club of Bridgewater and District and has served as Club Secretary since 2012. He is presently a member of the Board of Directors of the Lunenburg Yacht Club. In the past Philip has served on the Board of Directors of the Bridgewater Development Association, as a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church Parish Council and on the Board of the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore.

Philip is married and he and his wife are parents of three daughters.
Philip is an avid sailor and a former recreational hockey player. He also plays guitar in a local rock band which performs on a regular basis in the area.
