Shawnee was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2016 after graduating from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2015. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Theatre Studies in 2005 and enjoys voice acting and taking part in local theatre productions whenever possible.
Shawnee is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Nova Scotia Criminal Lawyers Association. A tireless advocate for those who have come into conflict with the law, she is a member of the South Shore Community Justice Society Board of Directors and a member of the East Coast Prison Justice Society. Shawnee also enjoys supporting local artisans and entrepreneurs as a member of the Halifax Crafters Society’s Board of Directors and Awesome Foundation South Shore Trustee. In her free time, Shawnee enjoys skiing, cycling, knitting, photography and visiting the many great beaches in the area.
Shawnee was pleased to join PLRR in 2016 and her preferred practice areas are criminal law, civil litigation, municipal law and wills and estates.
