Michael K. Power B.A., LL.B

Michael K. Power graduated from Dalhousie University Law School in 1975. Michael has carried on the general practice of law in Bridgewater, Lunenburg and Liverpool, Nova Scotia. In addition to his general practice he has been a Federal Crown Attorney prosecuting drug offences. He has served as special counsel to the Workers’ Compensation Committee. He is currently the general counsel for the Automotive Trades Association of Nova Scotia. Michael continues to appear in all levels of court in Nova Scotia.
In addition to his legal practice, he has served on numerous boards, committees
and associations including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Nova Scotia Residential Tenancies Board, the Bridgewater Tennis Club, the Kiwanis Club, Fort Point Museum Board, the Bridgewater Curling Club, the Kinsmen Club and he chaired the YMCA Capital Campaign.
He continues to serve on the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Nova Scotia Police Commission and the Bridgewater Renaissance Committee.
He is an avid fisherman, sailor, cross country and downhill skier, golfer, tennis player and gardener.
